Yesenia’s musical journey began in childhood when her family was gifted an old pneumatic player piano. She went on to study piano and voice, explored theater arts through middle and high school, and later pursued opera in college. After returning to New Braunfels after college, Yesenia began teaching piano and has been sharing her love of music with students ever since. She draws inspiration from collaborating and performing with other musicians, viewing music as a true team effort that pushes everyone to grow. Discovering new music and continuing to evolve as an artist keeps her passion strong. Outside of teaching and performing, Yesenia enjoys riding motorcycles, traveling, and playing music for her church. Over the next five years, she hopes to continue expanding the venues and communities where she performs, both as a solo artist and with her band, Yesenia & The Groove Doctors.
