Ryne’s love of teaching was inspired early on by his mom, a science teacher who showed him the impact a great teacher can have on a student. After studying education in college, Ryne combined those teaching skills with his growing passion for music and developed his own approach to helping students learn. Ryne began seriously playing guitar at 18 after attending a Guns N’ Roses concert and going home inspired to pick up the guitar and practice. He hasn’t stopped since! Today, he has more than 10 years of live performance experience and especially loves the creativity of the electric guitar and finding new ways to make the instrument come alive. As a teacher, Ryne believes music is a language and that becoming a great musician takes patience, persistence, rhythm, creativity, and lots of practice. Most importantly, he wants students to enjoy the process and understand that learning an instrument isn’t a race. In Ryne’s words: “Always make your practice fun, and it will make the years seem like weeks!”
